Cancellation and Refund Terms & Conditions

Welcome to the TutoringByChristine.com, website. Tutoring By Christine, LLC, provides this Site to its visitors and paying customers on the following terms and conditions. Please read these conditions of Web Site Use (Terms) carefully before using this Site, and or registering for its services. By using this Site in any capacity, you agree to these Terms; if you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use this Site or our services.
Tutoring By Christine reserves the right to, at any time, modify, revise, or update our Site or these Terms and you agree to be bound by such modifications, revisions, or updates. You should periodically re-check these Terms to apprise yourself of any such modifications, revisions, and updates. Your continuing use of this Site constitutes your acceptance of any modifications, revisions, or updates to the Terms, all of which shall become effective as of January 1, 2020.
First-Come, First-Served Basis:
Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no registration deadline before the classes start. We suggest you register as early as possible to secure your seat in open classes. All course materials are included with your registration. All registration fees are non-refundable.
Registration Fee:
TBC requires payment of a non-refundable registration fee (for all courses offered) by credit card or check prior to enrolling a student. Your registration fee must be paid in full in order to progress in the enrollment process with us and reserve a seat.
Tuition:
TBC requires payment of tuition in full, or down payment if payment plan option is selected* (for full time enrollment only) by credit card or check prior to 30 days of start of course. Tuition must be paid in full in order to participate in our programs. Please call our office at (917) 748-9089 to arrange for payment plans.
Payments:
We accept registration and course fees via our website 24 hours a day (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover) or by phone at (917) 748-9089. We also accept payments by check by mailing it out to: Tutoring By Christine, 253 Nelson Ave., Staten Island, NY 10308.
Cancelations:
You must cancel within 30 days of start of course to request a 100% full refund. If you cancel within 15 days, 80% of program tuition is refundable. Tuition Refunds will not be issued for any reason once the course begins.
Makeup Sessions:
All schedules for group classes are posted prior to Student Registration. Makeup sessions are available for all courses except six-week summer courses. Any available homework and or class materials will be provided in the case of absence.
Private Tutoring:
TBC reserves the right to charge for one hour of tutoring services, at the normal rate, when appointments are canceled within the 24-Hour cancellation window or for no calls no shows.
Other Terms & Conditions:
Tutoring By Christine, LLC, realizes that sometimes events occur that must be dealt with in a fair and appropriate manner. We have instituted the following rules in order to deal as fairly as possible with the families and students.
Tutoring By Christine, LLC, at its sole discretion, may deem a student inappropriate for its program. In such a situation the student will not be allowed to continue with the program and Tutoring By Christine will within 10 business days refund a prorated amount for all unused classes or private sessions. The family will have no recourse other than this refund.
In the event that circumstances arise which prevent the teacher for the group class or individual tutor from meeting at a certain time and day, a makeup class will be offered at no charge.
Tutoring By Christine, may choose, due to circumstances that arise, to substitute a different tutor for the private session or a teacher for the group class. Tutoring By Christine, LLC, will make every effort to notify the families in advance of such changes. If there is a permanent change in the private tutor, will make every effort to notify the families in advance of such changes. There is no refund due to a change in teacher or tutor for private and group classes.
In the event that Tutoring By Christine, LLC, deems it necessary to cancel or discontinue a class, Tutoring By Christine’s sole obligation will be to make an appropriate effort to provide the family with a comparable course. In the event this cannot be accomplished, Tutoring By Christine will refund any prorated balance within 10 business days.
The total claims of the family, with respect to issues of Professional Liability, will be limited to the amounts paid for the course in question. No claims for refund shall be valid after the completion of the course.
Revisions to the Terms:
We reserve the right to revise the Terms at our sole discretion at any time. Any revisions to the Terms will be effective immediately upon posting by us. For any material changes to the Terms, we will take reasonable steps to notify you of such changes, via a banner on the website, email notification, another method, or combination of methods. In all cases, your continued use of the Services after publication of such changes, with or without notification, constitutes binding acceptance of the revised Terms.
