SHSAT Score Builder
(Test Simulation & Performance - Fall of 8th Grade)
- Complete four full-length SHSAT practice tests under realistic testing conditions, with additional practice assigned between sessions.
- Alternate between practice tests and detailed review sessions to analyze mistakes and refine strategies.
- Refine timing, accuracy, and test stamina to maximize performance on test day.
The Tutoring by Christine SHSAT Preparation Pathway
At Tutoring by Christine, our SHSAT preparation programs are designed as a step-by-step pathway that builds the academic skills, strategies, and test experience students need to perform their best on the exam. Students may enter the pathway at different points depending on their grade level and preparation.
All SHSAT classes are intentionally capped at 12 students to ensure active participation, guided instruction, and meaningful individualized feedback.

Start SHSAT Prep with a Strong Foundation.
Our SHSAT Foundations course builds the essential reading, grammar, vocabulary, and math skills students need before beginning more advanced SHSAT preparation. Designed for students currently in 6th grade or early 7th grade, this supportive small-group class (capped at 12 students) strengthens reading comprehension, writing skills, and mathematical reasoning while helping students develop strong academic habits and confidence.
Through guided instruction and targeted practice, students begin developing the problem-solving strategies, accuracy, and focus needed for success on the SHSAT. This course provides the skills and preparation students need to transition smoothly into more advanced SHSAT preparation programs. Classes are held in person, and tuition includes 16 hours of instruction in a structured small-group environment.

The intensive SHSAT Test Prep course is designed to prepare students for the English Language Arts (ELA) and Math sections for the digital SHSAT. The course features a structured schedule of in-depth lessons, practice problems, and full-length practice tests that simulate the actual test experience.
Classes Focuses on:
- Strengthening students’ understanding of the topics most frequently tested on the SHSAT, with a focus on building knowledge, reinforcing concepts, and reteaching areas where students need extra support.
- Core ELA & Math Concepts: Lessons introduce new material and review critical skills aligned with the New York State Learning Standards, ensuring students have a solid grasp of the content that appears on the SHSAT.
- Targeted Reinforcement: Teaching and reinforcing focus areas through guided practice, feedback, and review.
- Assessment Practice: Students complete full-length module assessments on our digital platform to track growth and build confidence in applying their knowledge.
