About this course

No Registration Fee required for private tutoring services!

The cost for private tutoring ranges between $50 for elementary students to $60 an hour for high school students.

Tutoring by Christine specializes in personalized tutoring to help your child improve academically! Our tutors are certified experienced educators.

Tutoring by Christine offers private tutoring sessions for students ages preschool to adult in most school subjects (elementary and high school reading, grammar, math, science, and social studies).

Private tutoring is offered one-on-one (or in small groups of two or three when requested).

We offer tutoring for special needs, struggling and gifted students. Our talented, experienced tutors personally tailor private lessons to help students learn and reinforce concepts that are taught in school.

Tutors can also help students develop study skills and organizational techniques to help improve their academic performance.

In addition to regular schoolwork, private tutoring is offered for test specific subjects including, but not limited to, PSAT, Regents (Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Living Environment, Chemistry), SAT, SHSAT, State Tests and TACHS.

How is tutoring beneficial?

Tutoring programs give students the skills they need to study and learn on their own so they can reach their goals both inside and outside of school. Tutoring can help your child develop better communication skills and build better relationships with peers inside and outside of the classroom.

How Does Tutoring Help Students?

Tutoring can help strengthen subject comprehension, boost confidence, and build important learning skills. Tutoring gives students individualized attention that they don’t get in a crowded classroom. This helps children who struggle to keep up, as well as those who aren’t challenged enough to learn at their pace.

FAQs

Is there homework assignments?

Students are given high-quality homework assignments to use in between class sessions. This ensures that students will keep practicing and get better at the different skills and strategies that have been introduced and taught in class.

Can students make up missed classes?

Students may make up missed classes when instructors are given advance notification of planned absences.

Why is private tuition important?

One of the biggest advantages of private tutors is that lessons can easily be customized to suit each student. Learners will benefit from the fact that a tutor can adjust the pace, focus and goals of a lesson depending on the needs and abilities of the student, meaning that learning efficiency will be maximized.

Do tutors teach?

Tutors make use of their knowledge and expertise in a specific area to teach students outside a classroom. Tutors may teach individual students or small groups depending on the request.

What is the goal of tutoring?

The goal of the tutoring is to help students overcome academic challenges and lead them to autonomous or independent learning. It is a special kind of teaching that is different from the teaching performed by teachers, friends, and parents.
